I am a member of a Jonathan Leger’s blog and he has been sending me updates on a test he’s been doing to see what power submitting articles to article directories can have on a site.  After submitting only 5 articles to 3 article distribution sites: EzineArticles.com, ArticleCity.com and GoArticles.com. He didn’t do any search engine optimization or link building - he just wrote and distributed 5 articles.

His results speak for themselves.  After just 4 weeks, he has 341 visitors to his site and received 126 opt-ins, and was indexed in all 3 major search engines.  It is a good read for anyone wondering if articles are effective.
